Job Summary
The adjunct Strength & Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in designing and implementing programs for all varsity athletic programs; specifically responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of safe and effective strength and conditioning programs to improve performance of the Men's & Women's varsity teams. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of East Campus Strength and Conditioning Center during assigned shift and during absence of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
»Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution
» 1 or more years practice working as a coach, adjunct coach, or intern in the field of strength and conditioning.
»NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification, NSCA Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach certification or CSCCa Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified certification.
candidates must meet stated minimum education and practice requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
»Master's Degree Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field from an accredited institution
» practice training athletes of all abilities in a variety of sports
»CSCCa - SCCC certification
Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities
» expertise of strength training, speed, agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular conditioning
» expertise of NCAA regulations and guidelines
»Demonstrated capability to motivate a variety of student-athletes
» capability to initiate, develop and maintain contacts appropriate to an effective strength and conditioning program
» capability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating, both verbally and in writing
» capability to work effectively with a wide variety of constituencies in a diverse community
» capability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
»Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
» capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
