Job Description
This is an opportunity to join a global financial services firm that has over 30,000 employees globally! As a Jr. Payroll Tax Analyst you will have the opportunity to utilize your Payroll Tax knowledge within every single state and perhaps even Canada! This role consists of researching, reading and staying up to date with all payroll tax changes/revisions, interacting with government agencies, reconciling, preparing returns, depositing quarterly funds, and filing returns on the published dates per state and at the federal level. They ideally are looking for a qualified Jr. Payroll Tax Analyst that is in the Louisville area and that is eager and interested to come into the office three times a week to interact with colleagues and senior management.
salary: $23 - $24 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities
- Ensure all payroll tax returns and deposits are completed, filed and paid by multiple state's different published due dates
- Conduct monthly payroll account reconciliations
- Research payroll tax inquiries from State/Local and Federal Government Agencies
- Analyze multi-state payroll tax data
- Perform calculations
- Process annual withholdings for the US and Canada including W-2, T-4, and RL-1s
- Prepare amended payroll tax returns
- Study up on current payroll tax guidelines by reading and utilizing BNA, ADP, APA, CPA and Equifax updated tax publications
- Escalate compliance issues to management
- Handle ad-hoc internal and external requests directed to you by your Manager
