Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Travel Welder in Louisville, KY! We are looking for skilled welders who are ready to take their talents on the road and work on exciting projects across various locations. If you have a passion for welding and enjoy the thrill of travel, this is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your skills while exploring new places.

-With this opportunity, travel time is about 30-35% of the year. Any time you are not on the road you would get in shop hours.

-Foundational mechanical repair and assembly skills are a plus but not required.

-Per Diem is given and travel pay is involved

-All travel costs are covered

-If you are interested, all information regarding the logistics will be given on your initial phone screening.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding tasks on-site at various locations, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, and stick welders.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on welds to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Travel to different job sites as required, often with short notice.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a welder, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
