The clear glossy finish protects and enhances colors. 5 mil is one of the most popular medium weight choices for rigidity and protection and compatible with nearly every thermal pouch laminator on the market. Note: Industry standard specification for 5 mil laminating pouches is 5 mil on each flap for a total of 10 mil added to your paper sheet. 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch (metric: 25 microns). The industry calls these pouches, yet they are sealed on only one edge instead of three (like a file folder with a 3/32” spine).
