Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Job Type: (Remote)
Jonesboro Realty Company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of our company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the real estate industry and grow their career in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients and vendors
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Monitor and track expenses and prepare reports for management
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Supervisor
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework in accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Sage)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Real estate industry experience is a plus, but not required
