Your impact

We’re seeking a Project Manager to be based in our Arlington, VA or additional Jacobs offices throughout the east coast . As a member of our team, you will lead design projects consisting of multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and architects from design kick-off through construction. You will primarily support federal projects for DoD clients, Federal Civilian, and various Defense Contractors, delivering projects in both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods.

You’ll lead projects by effective, skilled project management techniques in order to enhance design solutions, drive successful outcomes, and add value to the business.  You’ll play an integral role in forming long-term client relationships, engaging team members on projects, and collaborating with talented resources throughout Jacobs.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple projects simultaneously while delivering on time, within project and construction budgets and in accordance with agreed-upon scope.  

• Serving as the primary point of contact with the client throughout the entire project lifecycle.   

• Developing project scopes and fee proposals through coordination with discipline directors and design leads, and leading negotiations with clients.

• Creating and facilitating communication plans to ensure timely and effective information exchange among project stakeholders, and conducting regular status reviews with project teams and clients.

• Establishing, monitoring, and managing project financial metrics, schedules, and staffing plans.

• Overseeing the development and quality of project documentation and ensuring adherence to the Jacobs Quality Program.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture

• Professional Registration (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) is preferred; Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification will be considered

• Experience as a client facing Design Project Manager managing multiple disciplines

• US Citizenship

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• Demonstrated design and project management experience within Federal and/or DOD s 

• Experience leading design teams in Design-Build contracts 

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

106,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

170,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $106,000.00 to $170,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
